Wineglass Bay
There are numerous walks in the Freycinet National Park that include the world famous Wineglass Bay. The Lookout will give you one of Tasmania’s most celebrated views over the beautiful white sands of Wineglass Bay. The track is a short, fairly steep climb to the saddle between Mt Amos and Mt Mayson.

The new lookout has spectacular views over Wineglass Bay. From there you can return the way you came or follow the track down and spend time on the pristine beach. You may be lucky enough to spot a passing group of whales or a pod dolphins playing in the waves.
With remarkable coastal views of Freycinet National Park and a well-constructed walkway, this very easy walk is a great way for everyone to experience Freycinet. The elevated track loops around the automated lighthouse at Cape Tourville.

The track is wide, with even surfaces and gently graded slopes. Much of the walk is on a raised boardwalk which, at times, takes you right to the cliff edge, offering amazing views. Sights include the Hazards, Wineglass Bay and nearby offshore rocks known as The Nuggets.
Keep an eye out for wildlife. Sea birds, sea-eagles, whales, seals and dolphins have all been seen from here. Binoculars and a camera are recommended.

Freycinet Golf Club is located only a two minute drive from the The Blue House. The Freycinet Golf course was designed by Bill Husband and opened in 1993.
It is challenging and enjoyable for all players and a true test for the serious golfer. We are a community course and all works are done by members who give their time for free in pursuit of a great course for all to enjoy. The course is a par 72, The Slope rating is 129 for Men and 120 for Women. It contains three par threes, three par fours and three par five holes.
Located on Freycinet peninsula, along the spectacular Great Eastern Drive, our pristine waters, fresh air and the abundance of sea life make for perfect oyster farming conditions.
Their head guide Declan is a real deal oyster farmer down at Freycinet Marine Farm, working along side the wonderful Giles & Julia Fisher to produce high quality pacific oysters and mussels, delivered straight from the farm to the shop.
